A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

This music takes me back to the old days! Thank you for creating something that makes me reminisce about my youth. This old punk can't thank you enough!! I love these tracks!! sayersees

Great year for a great band. It has all the elements of POG compressed into a groovy, grimey, bass heavy track. The single is a standalone banger and the Chat Pile side is in the same vein. It sounds what I imagine the audio from a PCP arrest sounds like. The tracks are sonically similar enough to make this a great release. By the way the POG song has nothing to do with the 90's TV show of the same name... I know, I know, but it's still worth checking out. Previously, on....
Fans of Polvo, take note! The excellent Kansas City band Abandoncy has the same fondness for corkscrewing riffs & melodies. It’s great! Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 28, 2022
